How to add documents from WhatsApp into Xero.

Transcription: Hi everyone, and welcome to this week’s Xero Tip of the Week.

So I’m going to show you what happens when somebody within the business sends a photo of a receipt or a document through WhatsApp rather than any other channel. So this is how you can quickly and easily get that document into Xero to be able to attach it to an expense, to a bank transaction or even to create a bill from it. So if I just walk you through it, so we’ll nip into WhatsApp.

So here we can see the receipt that’s been sent over, select the receipt and select share. Then when the apps pop up, just scroll across until you find Xero. And there you will see the organization and that it’s going to save it to the files inbox. If you have more than one company that you run through zero, you do need to make sure that you’ve logged into that particular company on your Xero app to make sure it goes into the right files inbox.

But in this instance, I’m happy that it’s going to the demo company. So all I do is click save, and that will then save the file to Xero, ready for you to do what you need to do with it within Xero.

Thanks very much then guys. Bye.
